Roly Poly!!!

Leyton rolled over today! I was so shocked...we thought he would roll from his back to his tummy first b/c he is so close to, but he gets frustrated when he gets on his side. Well today during tummy time he just rolled onto his back out of the blue. I was so excited- you would have thought he had just picked up and ran. Luckily I had my camera- so I put him back on his tummy and he did it again! You are about to witness his second roll ever. He is obviously not as impressed with himself as I am. Enjoy.

This video is just for pure entertainment...or at least I find it entertaining. Leyton likes to sit in his chair and watch cartoons. He found this particular show (SpongeBob, I believe) to be quite exciting.
P.S. Don't judge me for letting my 3 month old watch the tube, sometimes you do what you gotta do to eat dinner.)

TODAY I AM...

Congrats Leyton, you have graduated from the "fourth trimester" (according to Dr. Harvey Karp).

About me now:

• I love "standing" on your lap. Whenever Dad sits me down, I push myself right back up. I am a strong little booger.
• I am so curious and observant and love looking around at new places and people. Sometimes I get overexcited.
• Chatting up a storm. You can see from previous video that I have quite a tale to tell.
• I give the sweetest smiles, esp. when waking up from a nap.
• I like being outside.
• I still love the bath and bedtime is better. At least I am consistent, mom knows I go to bed around 9- 10:00 wake up at 2:00 am and again around 4:00 am. Then I get up at 6:00 or 7:00 (usually with dad) and go back to sleep in my swing. And in my defense, I go right back to sleep within 15-20 minutes of waking in the night, I'm generous that way.
• A good nap for me consists of about 45 minutes. There is just too much to see and do during the day.
• I have long, dark lashes that make mom jealous and I often get complimented on my big, juicy, Angelina Jolie lips. We don't know where I got them (GiGi, maybe)?
• The fan is my best friend. I kick and flap my arms all over the place in excitement when the fan (who we named "Freddie") comes on. My first word may be "fan".

I leave you with a rare sighting at the Knight household:

Make a joyful noise

This is what I get to hear everyday! I love it...he can't get enough of hearing himself.  I imagine he is telling Jeremy some elaborate fishing story. He really gets going in the middle.

Disclaimer: I realize not everyone finds our son as interesting and irresistibly precious as we do. This is mostly so the fam back home doesn't feel like they miss too much. However, if you need to be cheered up, or if you just need a daily dose of Leyton, turn up your speakers and  enjoy.

Happy Monday to ya

Poor Bizkit

No, I have no personal ties to this dog, Bizkit. I saw this video on the internet and found it quite amusing. I'm guessing he is chasing a cat in his dream. Enjoy.

Hi-Ho Hi-Ho Its off to Work We Go...

I only cried twice today. Once before we left this morning, and again on the whole car ride to Kelly's (Leyton's babysitter). Once we got there and after we left though, I was fine. I felt very at peace and I knew he was being well taken care of. She said he did Great! I have to say I was happily surprised considering how high-maintenance he can be. Apparently he was very intrigued by Abby (Kelly's 18 month old who is a doll). She showed him all her toys and said she wanted to read him her Jesus book.  He also took a pacifier from Kelly all day...he never takes one from me! AND he napped on the couch...laying still...not being held. Amazing. He was passed out when we picked him up and didn't budge until we got home, which made for a pleasant car trip.

As odd as it sounds, it was actually nice being at work and getting back in my groove thing. I guess that says alot about how blessed I am to work somewhere I am excited to return to. Of course that has alot to do with the people as well...I have never worked with more loving, fun, supportive people.

Anywhoo, tomorrow Jeremy will work from home and keep him until 1:oo or 2:00-ish and we will trade off.

Can I just mention how precious Leyton was when Jeremy got home last night? (he had been at a conference in Ohio). L started smiling, drooling and babbling all over the place. So cute. Anyhow...some pics to enjoy. Not sure what is up with this new face L is making. He was having a goofy-face Monday.
