Just for Mindless Entertainment

I found this on Laura Tomlinson's entertaining blog and thought it was great. There is a website to find out what your name would be if you were Sarah Palin's child, since she has such unusual names for her kids (Willow, Trig, Track, Bristol, and Piper). Track? Really? Anywhoo. It's fun. You should see what your name would be.
Mine would be: Shove Maggot Palin
Jeremy's: Drink Hack Palin
Leyton's: Steak Leather Palin

Click on the link below to find out what yours would be!

28 weeks "Gosh, you're getting big"

Sorry for the delay...I am up to my ears in cardboard boxes. We have been busy getting ready for our big move next week. Leyton, however, hasn't missed a beat. He is as nuts as ever...playing trampoline on mommy's bladder and rolling around like a roly-poly. I think I may recommend to my superiors that we set up my office in the bathroom stall.

We went in for a check-up on Monday and everything was great. I had to drink the "orange soda" for my glucose screening and it was actually quite yummy. I also had to get a Rho-Gam shot which I was forewarned by my mom that it may hurt so I should take it in the hip. I guess all that cushion I have back there came in handy for something because I didn't feel a thing.

AND I got my ring off!! I decided to give it one more go on Sunday night. We used some Windex and Jeremy managed to work it up a little. He soon gave up saying it wasn't coming off. I, however, was determined so I wrestled with it for awhile and 10 minutes later it came off!! Whohoo!!

Oh and I was informed by one of our youth tonight that I was "getting really big". I chose to take it as a compliment.

Hello Third Trimester...Hello Tums...Hello Swollen Extremities

Here we are. First week in the third trimester, and things have already begun to digress slightly. But just slightly, I am determined to remain chipper. We'll see how long that lasts. BUT, today was a day I have been waiting for for quite some time...A stranger noticed I was pregnant. I know this sounds stupid, but I always thought that when a stranger in the grocery store noticed I was pregnant would be a big milestone. For the longest time I just felt fat and not pregnant so I'm happy to report that apparently I do look pregnant. The cute check out girl at Publix asked "What are you having?" Turns out she recently had a little boy herself. She was already back to a size 0.

I am however having a little dilemma....swollen fingers. Yep, the wedding band isn't budging. I was advised to take them off now before the swelling got worse. Of course I debated over this for a week b/c I didn't want to walk around looking illegitmately knocked up. Bad idea. Should have taken them off last week. Last night I managed to pry off my engagement ring with a little oil. But the band isn't moving. I did everything Google told me to do with no avail. hmmm.

And did I mention that Tums are my new best friend? Late at night when flames of acid begin shooting up my throat, Tums are there in all of their chalky fruit-flavored glory to help me out. Long after the husband is happily asleep in lala land, long after my fifth trip to the bathroom, the Tums never fail me...Thanks Tums.

I will leave you with my 27 weeks pic. I am wearing my first official "maternity dress". My friend, Carolyn told me I should get some Minnie Mouse ears to wear with it and be Minnie Mouse on Halloween. Sounded like a good idea, but then I thought it may confuse the children..."Mom, why is Minnie Mouse knocked up?"

I think  I'll just be a pumpkin instead.

26 week update

Whew. Sorry its been so long! But I'm back.
We recently got a new camera and were waiting on the usb cord to come in so we could upload the friggin pictures. Little did we know it was coming from Ding Dong Fey, China. Not kidding, that was really the return address. Anywhoo. Things are great, we are in the midst of slowly packing for our upcoming move in a few weeks. You will be able to tell from the pics below that I have been busy working on a few things for the nursery.
Leyton should weigh around 2 pounds this week and it sure seems like it. I can only compare my physique these days to that of "The Marshmallow Man". Oh well. Leyton has a new little trick he likes to perform when I am laying down trying to catch some shut eye at night. I call it the rib-tickle. It literally feels like he is playing piano on my ribs. I shoot straight up in bad when he does it. I can only imagine that he is laughing in there.  But I mean, what else does he have to do to entertain himself?  Jeremy and I spent about 10 minutes the other night watching my belly bounce around. Cheap entertainment. I am however soaking up my last week in the glorious second trimester as I am about the enter the third, the largest, the scariest, and the final. The countdown is on, people.

A homemade picture frame. Jeremy wouldn't let me buy the $200 one.

( Here is his bedding! I can't take credit for this photo, it was on the website when I ordered it. Cute shoes, though)
