Etsy Shop: Open!

I finally opened my Etsy shop! What better time than less than 2 months before I am due to give birth?  I have been saying I was going to do it for 6 months, but I always came up with an excuse. Part of me is terrified of putting myself out there and the other part is awful at self promotion. Can you tell I was really bad at selling Girl Scout cookies when I was younger?

Anyway, I started creating these bible verse prints over a year ago. I was working on a freelance project for someone when the idea just came to me. I have been building on my collection ever since. I did them mostly just for fun and to have a creative outlet so even if my 'business venture' bombs thats really ok. They are mostly 10x10 prints, but I also have greeting cards available. Now that I am basically set up- I keep thinking of new ideas I would like to do as well.

You can visit my shop here:

And if you really love me or just feel like it, you could pin some of the prints to your Pinterest boards and maybe I will pick up some traffic that way. If you are interested in any of the prints or maybe want something in different sizes or colors than what is available, feel free to email me at nknight1@gmail.com.

Here are some of the prints. You will have to visit the shop to see them in a more readable size.

30 weeks

I can't believe we are 2 months away! Yikes. I'm so not ready yet. The nursery (which is not really even a nursery yet) is in utter disarray and we still have to get some of the baby stuff out of the attic to see what works and what we even have.

The great news is that we had an ultrasound Monday and she looks great! They had scheduled me for one over concern that I was measuring a little smaller than I should be. Apparently I am carrying her pretty low which could be why. I made them double check to see if she was still in fact a she and there was no doubt. She is measuring perfectly and looking good. We couldn't get a really good look at her face, but according to the ultrasound tech she had a good bit of hair and a really great set of ears. I'll take her word for it.

I am feeling really good right now. My energy level is great and no aches or pains to speak of yet. I was looking back over my posts when I was pregnant with Leyton and by this time I was really swollen, achy and had huge feet. I guess it is true that every pregnancy is different.

Easter 2012

"In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1 Peter 1:3

We had a full and blessed Easter Sunday. Thankfully, Leyton is back to himself and feeling much better. He sat with us at "big church" and was way better than I thought he would be. He sat in his chair the whole time. For a full hour. I was amazed. Then we had a big dinner with my mom and the in-laws complete with another Easter egg hunt and way too much candy. Here are a few pics from this morning...

Not to brag, but I think we look so much alike in this picture

Prayers please

Last week, my sweet boy came down with the flu and double ear infections. Two nights of 105 fevers are downright scary and no fun. Luckily, Jeremy and I were both spared from catching anything and he recovered pretty quickly.

Well, he came home from school today coughing with a sore throat and had a 102 fever right before bed. Sigh. I can't stand it. I think I may keep him locked in the house until he is 18.

Also, I went in for a check-up today and was told I needed an ultrasound b/c I am measuring smaller than I should be. Heart rate is great and she has been kicking me all over the place so I'm sure she is fine, but they couldn't get me in until Monday so I get to stress out about it all weekend. If you are the praying type, we would appreciate prayers for all of the above.

Since all I have done is complain in this post, the least I could do is leave you with a cute picture or two. These were taken at HubFest on Saturday. All Leyton was interested in was the train track. All I was interested in were the vendors with super cute little girl hair bows. Of course Jeremy would magically disappear (with his wallet since I didn't have mine) whenever I found one I had to have. Men.
