The greatest pumpkin of all

A few weeks ago, Kristen and her husband, Jamie, met us at the Pumpkin Patch at church to snag some pictures of my little pumpkin. It is by far the prettiest pumpkin patch in town. I am a little biased though considering that Jeremy and his team are in charge of coordinating it. I am glad we got pictures when we did, because by the end of the month most of the pumpkins (4,000 are so) are usually gone.

Here are just a few of my favorites that Kristen and Jamie snagged (yep, 2 cameras- totally jealous). Oh and I totally grabbed the ones with her watermark on them. I have no shame. At all.

She is the greatest. And she is going to have her own little boy in about 3 months. Can't wait.

**BREAKING NEWS

Leyton took his first steps this evening when I got home from work!! I'm glad he waited on me. The video footage is not the greatest- you can only see him from the waist up. You get the idea though.

Side note: He has been jabbering up a storm lately. He newest "words" are "ahoo" and "ahey" (sounds like he is trying to say "hey"). Random, just thought it was worth documentation.

A birthday party!

Yesterday, Leyton got to attend his first ever birthday party. Our friend's Kholter and Sherri celebrated their daughter, Selah's, first birthday. It was so much fun and Leyton had a blast. It was complete with cupcakes, a bubble machine, happy babies and finger painting.

I can't believe his will be next :0.

Finger painting! Good thing it was really pudding because L kept shoveling it in his mouth.

We ended the evening with a little stroll in the brisk fall air.

Just a Swingin'

Poor little guy is cutting his two top teeth, so needless to say he needed to get out of the house have a little fun. So we did what any good parents would do- we headed to the park down the street for a little swinging action.

What is it with my son and potty humor?

So Leyton has discovered that he really likes to play with toilet paper. Scratch that, loves to play with toilet paper. For some reason he found it hysterical when I would roll back up what he had unrolled. Who needs Toys R Us when you have some good ol' fashioned booty ribbon lying around?

TODAY I AM...

Double Digits.

I can't believe he will be ONE in two months. His personality is really beaming these days. He is high energy, exuberant, curious, spoiled rotten, and loads of fun. Here is a glimpse into the life of Leyton.

• His favorite toy is tupperware.
• His second favorite toy is a stuffed monkey that Jeremy's Aunt Marla gave him. He gives the money all of his sugars and laughs when he sees it.
• When I hold him, he wraps his little arm around my shoulder and holds me back.
• His vocabulary now includes the words "mama," "dada," "nah-nah," and "duh"
• He prefers to feed himself and is now enjoying table food. Some of his favorites include beans, diced carrots, avocado, cheese, whole wheat waffles, and cantaloupe.
• He can stand by himself for a few moments.
• He turns any and every flat surface into a drum.
• He is a cruising machine and walks well while holding our hands.
