Today I am...

Sweet Cheeks is two months old today.  If I didn't have any other responsibilities, I would hold and snuggle her all day long. Well, I pretty much kind of do that anyway. She has decided she doesn't like to nap much unless she is being held. Which would be fine if she didn't have a three year old brother fighting for my undivided attention as well.

She is really starting to coo and smile a good bit. I love it. She is really close to rolling over, but she hates tummy time with a vengeance. She likes being on her back and doing the 'bicycle' though. She really gets those legs going.

She still hates the car. Hates the stroller. I don't know why I can't produce babies who are ok with traveling. She has also decided that she doesn't really like being held by anyone besides mommy. I know this is typical of newborns probably, but I don't remember L being as bad. Luckily she has started warming up to daddy. She knows where her bread is buttered.

She is sleeping really well at night. Praise Hallelujah. Well, at least we think she is. All we have to compare her to is Leyton, who didn't sleep through the night until he was 8 months old. She is primarily up once a night, sometimes two to nurse and goes right back to sleep. She did, however sleep from 9pm-6am last week and then went back to sleep for about 3 more hours. Now, if we could just get her to nap better...

She is changing so fast. She still favors her brother a bit and is starting to get his long eyelashes. Her eyes are still blue, but I will be surprised if they stay that way.

I had to get some close up shots of her sweet face. Did I mention she is precious? I just love her.

A day in the life...

Ok, so this isn't really an accurate depiction of a day in our house.

If it were you would see our precious 3 year old having a meltdown over breakfast, changing clothes, choice of morning cartoons and everything in between. You would also hear said three year old asking 100 questions a minute, following me around the house and every 5 minutes saying "mommy, look at me! Watch, watch! Keeeeep looking, keeeep looking!"

All. Day. Long.

But man I love that kid. And so does his sister- she gives him the sweetest smiles. He really does make me laugh out loud sometimes. People always say that even though the days are long and the days are hard that one day I will wake up and wish for these days back. So I try to forget the moments of  terrible terrorist threes and remember the sweet moments and the silly moments.

 Like these:

Here he is doing Tae Bo that was on the tv. He insisted on wearing a headlamp around his hips.
