U- Ultrasound says "IT'S A BOY"!!

So it is official. Our little angel has a pecker! He was quite proud and willing to show it off. (See pic below). We couldn't be any more thrilled. Jeremy and I have always imagined having a little boy, so needless to say I got a little choked up when the sonographer confirmed that "yes, that is a penis you're seeing." We both had a hunch that it was a boy. Before we ever tried to get pregnant, I had a very vivid dream about my baby boy and that's when I knew I was ready for motherhood. So needless to say, I wasn't suprised to see a boy.  Even better news than that though is that the little one is in great shape. His heart, brain, kidneys, spine, limbs, and fingers are all measuring in perfectly. Must be the many gallons of milk that I have been downing. He currently weighs in at 10 ounces, which almost makes up for one of the 12 pounds I have gained. As far as names, right now we are pretty sure it will be Andrew Leyton. We will call him Leyton. Please continue to keep us in your prayers!
p.s. Heather, I'm sorry I didn't produce a little girl for you, but perhaps you and Trey will (hint, hint). Then we can have an arranged marriage.

T is for There is a picture of me in Halle Berry's house

True Story. So there is a family who Jeremy and I are pretty close to because they have two kids in the youth group. Sherri, the mom, who is the sweetest person ever used to do beauty pageants in her early twenties. Well, she and Halle Berry would always room together at these pageants and they became best friends. They are actually still great friends. Halle was texting her from the hospital when she was in labor with her little girl recently. Tight? I think so.

A few months ago, Ms. Sherri told Halle that Liam and Shelby (the kids) were going to be going on a youth trip with their church to Jamaica. Shortly after, the youth group got a check for $2,000 for the trip. Well, as if that weren't cool enough, Ms. Sherri told me that she had sent Halle a letter and enclosed a framed picture of Me and Jeremy with Liam and Shelby at a birthday party. She explained who Jeremy was and blah blah (I'm sure my name was briefly mentioned) Now, whether that picture is in a drawer at Halle's mansion I don't know. But I choose to believe that it is displayed nicely on the mantle somewhere.

In other news, here is the latest "bump" pic taken two weeks ago. We find out the gender on Tuesday!! I really hope it cooperates and doesn't cross its legs. I will probably drink some Sprite beforehand so it will be active. I have also been feeling it move around quite a bit which is exciting. It feels like a muscle twitch, but better.

S is for STUPID Bachelorette

I should really know better than to get hooked on these shows, but since there is really nothing good on T.V. in the summer, Jeremy and I thought it would be nice to have a weekly show to watch. Thus, we picked none other than ABC'S "The Bachelorette". DeAnna was off to a pretty good start and I thought she had made some good choices, although I never thought snowboarder Jesse would make it through the first night. But he kept making it through all the way to the finale. I thought FOR sure she would pick Jason (who is a stellar guy). He was soo much more her type and and he was so sweet and perfect. Even her family liked him better. BUT NO, she chose to marry snowboarder Jesse. I mean, he wasn't even all that cute. And all he says is "Rad." I thought that word left in '85. Why Deanna? Why?

R is for Reality TV Stars...Almost

Well, we have officially signed a contract for a townhouse! We are supposed to close at the end of August/early September. So earlier this week when we were signing our life away, our realtor got a phone call from HGTV. Jeremy and I have become big HGTV nerds since we have been scoping out the housing market. Our favorite show is "Property Virgins." Anyhow, apparently our realtor, David, had filmed some episodes for "House Hunters" which will air sometime later this month. They were asking him to film more episodes and he asked us if we would be interested in being on "House Hunters." I'm pretty sure he was kidding because he surely has much more interesting clients than Jeremy, myself, and our townhome. I was a little cautious because I could just imagine how embarrassed I would be later when the show aired and my accent was in full force. I would sound like one of those people they put on the news with the rollers in her hair and talking about how big the tornado was as a cow passes in the background. I think I would let Jeremy do all of the talking. But we haven't heard anything else from our realtor about our possible 15 minutes of HGTV fame. Oh well. Maybe in another lifetime we will be stars.
