Our weekend in pictures

Here is our weekend in pictures. Leyton had a nice visit from his Poppa & Nonna, and he is still asking for them. I can honestly say there was not a dull moment, but of course there never really is when L is in the equation.

We went to the zoo:

Went to see the "airmanes"

And lastly, visited the pumpkin patch:

Pumpkin Patch

Wednesday we went to go visit Jeremy during their 2nd pumpkin patch unloading. The weather was nice. Leyton's main squeeze, Maddie was there. Oh, and I had my camera. I'll start with my favorite picture first.

I told him we didn't need another hernia, please.

If this ^ doesn't make you say "aww" there may be something wrong with you.

I heart this picture.

An old toy revisited

For as long as I can remember, my brother had these three handcrafted airplanes hanging from the ceiling in his bedroom. I thought about them recently, what with Leyton's love for airplanes and all. Since my brother has his hands full with three girls, I didn't think he would find much use for them, but I asked him just to be sure. So Poppa and Nonna shipped them down to Orlando. I think I was just as excited as L was to get them. They really are beautiful and each one a little unique from the other. I wish I knew where they were made, but Mom said she picked them up from a little shop in downtown Natchez. Anyways, here are a couple of pics, and a video of Leyton seeing the"airmanes" for the first time. And no worries, they will be safely hung from a ceiling before he destroys them.

Sea World

Yesterday we ventured to Sea World as Leyton's first "theme park" adventure. We have taken him to Downtown Disney many times, but this was his first "real" trip to a park. We wanted to wait until he was old enough to enjoy it and be able to explore as his little heart desired. Perfect timing since we had scored free tickets. I think the highlight of his trip was the aquariums and the seahorse carousel. I think he enjoyed the 2 shows we saw as well, but he is just not one for sitting long these days.

Airplane!

Today we found the mother. The mother of all places in Orlando to go airplane spotting. And when you have a toddler who has a slight obsession with airplanes, this is gold. I did some research and found a public park near the airport, so we decided to give it a shot.

After playing awhile, we discovered a trail:

Jackpot!
There wasn't a soul around, so we had a private front row seat. Literally. We couln't have been more than half a mile from the runway. And one by one, they came in for a landing. All I heard was "Airmane! Oh! Airmane." It was a great day.
