My husband has been MIA this week (as has my camera) touring the green hillsides of Northern Ireland. Sounds nice, right? He took a group of students on a mission trip to Belfast. There is a long history of turmoil and violence between the protestants and the catholics in this area (although I'm sure he could tell you much more about it). He is coming home today (yay!) but here are just a few of the pictures he took while over there. I'm sure they don't even do justice to how beautiful it really is.

Leyton has recently slowed down enough to rediscover his books. For a brief period, all he wanted to do was eat them. Now he loves having us read to him and he loves pointing at the different illustrations and telling us what they are. We have one in particular we read before bed where we turn the pages and he tells us what they are doing (having dinner "ninner, momma, daddy, bay-bee" playing ball "bah!," or going to bed "nigh-nigh,"). It is so precious.
